The Journey to Chap’s Blackbox Cave

Your most reliable early-game source for Sulfur is located roughly 230 meters away from your starting location. Grab your compass, take a deep breath, and head out.

Swim straight Southeast until you spot a prominent cave system. This is the exact same cave that houses a bunker containing Chap’s blackbox. Do not go inside the cave just yet. The Sulfur you are looking for spawns on the far side of the exterior.

Swim completely around the outside of the cave structure and scan the seafloor. You are searching for distinct, yellow, gaseous lights flashing from the ground. Once you spot these deposits, swim up and pick them up by hand. You do not need to equip your Survival Multitool for this.

Environmental Hazards: Beat the Heat

Farming Sulfur comes with a major catch. As soon as you enter this zone, you will likely trigger an environmental warning letting you know the water temperature is too hot.
