Deltarune Chapter 5 Guide: Every Fox Location Revealed
Stop wandering Flower Castle aimlessly. Here is the exact route to track down all five hidden foxes, unlock Aqua's secret door, and claim your Pink Coin.

Quick Answer: You only need three foxes to progress the story, but finding all five hidden around the Second Diner area is mandatory to open Aqua’s locked door and secure a crucial Pink Coin for the endgame boss.
Flower Castle is packed with bizarre puzzles, and this game of hide and seek is easily one of the most deceptive tricks it plays on you. The game explicitly tells you to find three foxes to move the plot forward. If you stop there, you will permanently miss out on a secret room and the valuable Pink Coin stashed inside. You need that currency to unlock the chapter’s ultimate hidden boss.
If you managed to survive the hunger fueled madness we covered in our Deltarune Chapter 5 Guide: How to Beat Orange and Green, you know this fortress loves to hide its true solutions. Fortunately, you do not need to scour the entire map. All five targets are clustered together. Fast travel to the Second Diner, take the left door, and look for the room guarded by two fox statues. Every target is just a short walk from this exact spot.
The Complete Fox Route
I put together a quick reference table so you know exactly which rooms to check. You can grab these in any order, but sticking to this route will save you a lot of backtracking.
| Target | General Location | The Trick to Catching It |
| Fox 1 | Outside the statue room | Blends in with decorative wall paws. |
| Fox 2 | Main Terracotta room | Wandering aimlessly in the center. |
| Fox 3 | Main Terracotta room | Push a specific statue off the bottom right ledge. |
| Fox 4 | North east room | Drop a silhouette onto a blue switch. |
| Fox 5 | North west room | Call out Yellow from behind the curtain. |

Fox 1: The Wall Camouflage
Before stepping inside the main statue room, investigate the paper walls on your right. Walk extremely slowly toward the left. You will spot several decorative paw prints lining the paper. One of those shapes is an actual living creature. Snatch it up and bring it to the front of the room.
Fox 2: The Easy Target
Head straight into the main room flanked by the two fox statues. You will find yourself in a massive hall filled with Terracotta models. This second target is literally just wandering around the center floor. Herd the animal toward the entrance to scoop it up without breaking a sweat.
Fox 3: The Ledge Drop
Stay in the Terracotta hall and walk down to the bottom right corner. Focus your attention on the lowest row of statues. You have to push the second to last model from the right directly over the ledge. As it plummets, the illusion breaks and it turns into your third fox. Push carefully. Knocking over the wrong decorations is a huge waste of time.
Fox 4: The Shadow Puzzle
Navigate to the north east corner of the Terracotta hall and walk through the door. You will see multiple fox silhouettes projected onto a large paper curtain. Grab one of the dark shapes and drop it directly onto the blue switch. The curtain will instantly drop, revealing which shadow belongs to the real animal.
Fox 5: The Master of Disguise
Head back to the main Terracotta hall and walk to the north west corner. Enter the small room and interact with the curtain. Yellow will suddenly appear to confront you. Do not panic about triggering another courtroom boss battle. This is simply your final target wearing a clever disguise. Call his bluff to officially finish the hunt.
Unlocking the Secret Chest
The moment you secure the fifth and final animal, the heavy door Aqua was previously guarding will automatically unlock. Walk inside the hidden chamber to find one lone fox sitting at the very back. Interact with it, and it will immediately transform into a treasure chest containing your hard earned Pink Coin.
I cannot stress this enough: you absolutely must grab all five. Settling for the story required minimum will leave this chamber sealed forever.
