Bancho is back behind the sushi counter, and the Into the Jungle DLC hands him an entirely new ecosystem of ingredients to play with. Serving up the same old Blue Hole catches won’t cut it in Utara. You need to pack your menu with exotic freshwater predators, weird jungle fruits, and literal living fossils.

Unlocking the highest-paying meals requires more than just shooting fish with a harpoon. You need to manage research points, befriend animals, and cater to picky VIPs. Here is everything you need to know to fill out your new recipe book.

Base Menu & Auto-Unlocks

When you first open up shop in the jungle, you get three default, unlimited recipes: Papaya Salad, Coconut, and Mango Shake. These are your safety nets. They will never run out, ensuring you always have something to serve if a dive goes horribly wrong.

Beyond that, the simplest way to expand your menu is just bringing new things back to the restaurant. Catching a specific fish or harvesting a new plant automatically unlocks its basic preparation, which is usually a simple grill.

Cooking with Artisan Flames

Basic grilled fish won’t make you rich. The real money lies in complex, multi-ingredient dishes. To access these, you have to spend Artisan Flames on menu research. Gathering these flames should be your top priority early in the DLC, as a single unlock can drastically bump up your nightly income.

Animal Friendships and Rank Up Dishes

Do not ignore the local wildlife. Building relationships with the jungle animals directly gates your menu progression. Both the Monkey and the Bird-of-Paradise offer exclusive recipes as you hit specific relationship ranks.

You still have to spend an Artisan Flame to finalize the unlock, but pushing the Monkey rank early gives you access to four excellent recipes right out of the gate.

Bonita’s VIP Request

Currently, there is only one true VIP recipe in the expansion, and it belongs to Bonita. You need to prepare Stir-fried Crocodile Tail for her special event.

To pull this off, you will need Black Caiman Tail, Palm Sugar, and two Thai Chilies. VIP meals are massive money-makers, so make absolutely sure you have these ingredients ready before her visit triggers.

Must-Farm Jungle Ingredients

Certain herbs and seasonings are massive bottlenecks for your high-end menu. If you aren’t grabbing these items on every single dive, your kitchen will grind to a halt. Always prioritize gathering the following items:

• Lemongrass is the absolute king of the jungle kitchen and is required for eight different premium dishes including soups and satay.
• Coconut Milk serves as the backbone for six recipes including the massive Piranha Head Soup.
• Calamansi is heavily required for the Banana Flower Salad and the lucrative Black Caiman Taco.
• Thai Chili adds the kick needed for high-value stews and the exclusive VIP Crocodile Tail dish.
• Kaffir Lime Leaf is mandatory for four different complex recipes.
• Fish Sauce pops up constantly across both simple preparations and advanced cooking.
