Mina the Hollower Guide: How to Unlock the Map and Underlab Upgrades

The map functions more as a regional overview and completion checklist rather than a strict grid. It will not hold your hand, but it is mandatory if you care about hunting down every collectible. Restoring the Hollower’s Guild
To get your hands on the map, you need to locate the Guild Hall. It sits right near the southern entrance of Ossex, but the front doors are locked tight.
Finding the Secret Entrance
Walk down the street to the right of the building, jump over the barriers, and smash the wooden crates blocking the side entrance. Head inside and burrow under the far wall to pop up in the main hall. You will meet Muriel, who casually drops the news that your fellow guild members, Rhene and Drillhardt, are missing. Loot the blue chest in the room to snag a free Kear. You will definitely need it.
Rescuing Rhene from the Rebel Barracks
Thorne’s rebel forces have Rhene locked up in a cell south of the city. Breaking her out requires a bit of prep work. You must bring at least one Kear and one Plasma Vial. I also strongly advise activating about three Spark Generators before attempting this rescue, or else your path forward might be blocked.
The Escort Mission
Leave Ossex and head south into the Southern Outskirts Commons. Walk past the guards, descend the stairs, and keep moving south until you hit a dead end wall. Look to your left for a block that requires a Kear to open. Drop down, clear out the enemies, and step on the floor switch to lower the spikes. Interact with the yellow block marked with a ‘1’ to spend your Plasma Vial and unlock the Rebel Barracks.
Navigate to the bottom floor to find Rhene stuck in a corner. Heal her with a Plasma Vial. If your inventory is empty, just smash the candles nearby to find a spare. Once she is standing, you have to escort her out safely.
Keep these mechanics in mind during the escort:
- She can only jump a single tile distance.
- You have to continuously burrow to flip switches and drop spikes to clear her path.
- If she takes damage, she panics and runs around aimlessly. Clear the room and interact with her to calm her down.
- She actively digs up Joules, Bones, and vials while following you.
During the final brawl against three guards, Rhene actually starts digging up massive bombs. Smack these explosives directly into the enemies to clear the room fast, smash the crates in the top right corner, and hit the escape switch.
Finding Drillhardt and Upgrading the Underlab
Rhene immediately runs back to Ossex. Follow her back to the Hollower’s Guild Hall to find the place cleaned up. Rhene and Muriel are safe, but Drillhardt is still unaccounted for.
Look at the dirt pile on the left side of the room. You will notice a weird green object sticking out. Burrow directly under it and pop up to unearth Drillhardt, who was quite literally just stuck in the floorboards.
He immediately takes over the upgrade shop for your Underlab. You can finally purchase the Isle Map for 500 Bones, allowing you to check your location at any checkpoint. As you repair more Spark Generators across the map, Drillhardt expands his inventory with incredibly powerful tools.
