Finding Your First Horse
You do not need to wait for a specific point in the main story to get your mount. As soon as you can reach the Royal Highlands, you are good to go.
Here is the exact step by step process to rescue your new ride:
- Travel to the Royal Highlands and head toward Lochland Dock.
- Follow the path leading down to the Lonely Glen.
- Check your map and pinpoint the top left corner of quadrant I6.
- Look for Hassian, who is hanging out next to a horse completely encased in amber.
- Pull out your pickaxe and crack the amber open to free the animal.
- Forage the immediate area for three golden Dawnspur Lilies.
- Hand the flowers over to the horse to energize it.
Hassian will challenge you to hop on. Open your inventory, navigate to the tool menu, select the saddle icon, and assign your new mount.
Mastering the Reins
