Pets in Slime Seas Anime RPG aren’t just there to look cute on your shoulder. The Forest Drake is currently the only pet in the game, and it acts as a much-needed mount. Running around on foot gets extremely tedious, so having a ride to cover ground quickly is a massive quality of life upgrade. Getting this pet takes a bit of work though. You have to hunt down a specific mini-boss, pray for a lucky drop, and then hatch the egg yourself. Let me show you the fastest way to get it done.
Farming the Crimson Demon for the Drake Egg
To get started, you need to head over to Crimson Ruins Island. You are looking for a mini-boss called the Crimson Demon. You spawn him by standing directly on the Mini-Boss Spawner in the center of the area. Be warned, this guy is level 50. If you show up under level 30, he will absolutely wipe the floor with you.
The fight itself is annoying because he splits into smaller, faster minions that attack from every direction. Do not stand still. You have to constantly reposition and chip away at his health.
Here is a quick breakdown of the weapons you should bring to make farming easier:
| Recommended Weapon | Why It Works |
| Elder Forest Greatsword | Heavy sweeping damage to handle the smaller minions easily |
| Verdant Katana | Fast attacks for quick hit-and-run tactics |
| Refined Katana | Solid overall damage output if you don’t have the other two |
You are going to be fighting this boss a lot. The Drake Egg only has a 9% drop rate, so settle in for a decent grinding session.

How to Hatch Your New Pet
Once the Drake Egg finally drops into your inventory, the boss grinding is over. Now you have to hatch it. To do this, you just need to kill Slimes. Any Slime on any island will work, so pick a spot where you feel comfortable wiping out mobs quickly.
As you kill more Slimes, the egg will slowly crack and eventually give you your Forest Drake. The whole process takes roughly one to three hours. If you are a higher level and have strong weapons, you will clear Slimes faster and hit that one-hour mark effortlessly.
What the Forest Drake Actually Does
Right now, the Forest Drake only does one thing: it acts as a mount. You equip it, hop on, and ride around the islands way faster than you could ever run. It completely changes the pace of your game and makes traveling between quest givers so much better.
The developers have confirmed they are working on huge updates for the pet system. They plan to add passive damage boosts, PvP mechanics, and even equippable pet gear in the future. For now, just enjoy the massive speed boost.
Leveling Up Your Companion
Your new mount starts as a baby, but you can level it up to its max form. There is no complicated system here. You just keep killing Slimes and using the pet. The exact same activity you did to hatch the egg will feed XP directly into your Drake.
