Forza Horizon 6 Guide: All Treasure Car Locations

The ultimate roadmap to finding every hidden vehicle across Japan and securing the Treasure Hunter achievement.

Quick Answer: To unlock the Treasure Hunter achievement in Forza Horizon 6, you need to track down 9 specific vehicles hidden across the Japan map. Unlike traditional Barn Finds, these cars are sitting out in the open at unmarked locations like shop parking lots, mountain cabins, and industrial docks.

Forget the old-school Barn Finds for a minute. Forza Horizon 6 introduces a more active scavenger hunt with Treasure Cars. Instead of waiting for a rumor to pop up and a garage to be restored, you have to decipher vague clues and physically drive to these hidden gems.

Finding all nine isn’t just about padding your garage with rare steel; it is the only way to snag the Treasure Hunter achievement. Here is exactly where to find every single one of them without wasting hours circling the neon streets of Tokyo.

Detailed Breakdown of the 9 Treasure Cars

Tokyo City: 1991 Nissan Figaro

The Figaro is a quirky start to your collection. You will find it parked along the Tokyo waterfront. Head toward the Rainbow Run Speed Trap and follow the road that runs parallel to the water. Look for a small parking area near a local shop. If you can see the Rainbow Bridge clearly in your camera frame, you are in the right spot.

Shimanoyama: 1987 Porsche 959

This is arguably the most annoying car to find because the parking lot is tucked away from the main thoroughfare. Drive through the Shimanoyama fields and keep a close eye on the buildings lining the road. Look for a shop with a deep parking lot.

Pro Tip: Hunt for this one at night. The shop’s neon signage makes the parking lot entrance much easier to see against the dark fields.

Tateyama Kurobe: 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale

The Stratos is hiding near the famous snow walls of the Alpine Route. Drive the route from East to West. Once you reach the exit, loop around to the right. There is a small, lonely cabin sitting there with the Lancia parked right out front.

Minamino: 1969 Dodge Charger R/T

To find this American muscle classic, head to the Minamino golf course. You can spot the course easily on the map by its light green texture. Look for the water hazard shaped like a figure eight. The Charger is parked near a small building and some golf carts on the eastern boundary of the greens.

Hokubu: 1981 BMW M1

The clue for the M1 is actually helpful for once. It mentions a railway bridge and scaffolding. Follow the tracks through the Hokubu region until you see construction work on the bridge supports. The bright red BMW is parked right under the scaffolding.

Nangan: 2005 Ford GT

For the Ford GT, you need to get your tires dirty. Ignore the dockyard view in the clue—it’s too generic. Instead, look for a dirt road leading toward the coast in Nangan. Follow it to a secluded off-road parking area. You will find the GT sitting there with a view of the shipping containers.

Ohtani: 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE

The RX-7 is located south of the Porsche 959 spot. Look for a massive red electricity pylon towering over the Ohtani landscape. Once you reach the red pylon, look for the nearby white pylon. The Mazda is parked right next to it.

Takashiro: 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III

This one is a classic rally find. In the northern section of Takashiro, find the river flowing from the mountains on the left. Follow that water until you hit a waterfall. There is a small dirt path leading to a car park right by the falls where the Evo is waiting.

Ito: 1984 Nissan Safari Turbo

The final car is the easiest. Travel to the Wind Farm on the eastern edge of the map. There is a sharp hairpin turn in the middle of the turbines. Drive directly under one of the massive windmills at that turn to find the Safari Turbo.

How the Treasure Hunter Achievement Works

Unlocking the achievement is straightforward but requires completion. Here is the deal:

  • You must physically drive to all 9 locations.
  • Once you “discover” the car, it is instantly added to your garage.
  • The achievement pops the moment you find the ninth vehicle.
  • Unlike Barn Finds, there is no “restoration” time. You can drive these cars immediately.

Searching for these cars is much faster if you use an off-road vehicle for the Nangan and Takashiro locations. Most of these are tucked away in corners that a low-slung supercar might struggle with if you decide to take a shortcut through the grass.
