Welcome to the Game III Guide: How to Survive Every Killer
Your complete survival manual for outsmarting every stalker, managing your early-game economy, and making it through the night in WTTG3.

Quick Answer: You get exactly one hour of safe prep time before 9:30 PM. Use it to lock all back doors, buy motion sensors, and secure a single bag of meth. Surviving the night relies entirely on building strict habits like constantly checking for the white van and powering down your PC before leaving the room.
The Golden Hour
When you first boot up a normal run, the game lulls you into a false sense of security. The hunters do not instantly rush your room. You have until roughly 9:30 PM to get your life together. Wasting this grace period guarantees an early game over.
You need cash, and you need it fast. Start a VirtMesh mining session to generate passive income. Hop onto A.C.R.S to grab jobs, then use ShadowFetch to convert those requested URLs into MP4s.
- Always ping a user on the channel before the thirty-minute refresh timer hits to lock in their request.
- Spend your early earnings on DarkDrop surveillance equipment.
- Shut down your computer every single time you step outside. Leaving it on is practically begging Lucas to drain your hard-earned DOS coins.
Threats You Can Completely Ignore
Some enemies are strictly punishment for bad decisions. If you do not make the mistake, you do not face the threat.
The Bomb Maker
This guy is a massive troll. He is essentially a walking trap that only activates if you are curious enough to visit his specific webpage. Do not click his link. If you mess up and trigger the trap, immediately open CryptChat. He will send you the disarm code, giving you a tense ninety seconds to defuse the explosive. Easiest fix? Just stay away from his site.
The Kidnapper
Your easiest enemy to manage, provided you have eyes. If you see a white van parked outside, stay inside. Walking out either door while that van is visible results in an instant game over. The only time this gets sweaty is during a power outage. You have to wait him out in the dark, which actively increases your chances of dealing with Noir.
Hazards Tied to Your Chores
The game forces you out of your safe zone to pick up items or fix the internet. That is exactly when these two strike.
The Breather
You will find him lurking by the lit bridge on the far left of the map, right where your DarkDrop packages arrive. Never attempt a package retrieval unless your stamina gauge is completely full. Once you grab your gear, he will chase you. Sprint directly to the motel parking lot to break his pursuit.
Tucker
Router maintenance is dangerous strictly because of Tucker. He will try to ambush you while you are stuck in the unplugging animation out back.
- If you hear rustling leaves, absolutely freeze. Do not move a muscle until you hear a second rustle confirming he left.
- If you hear music blasting from an outdoor speaker, run. Find the motel room marked with an Ace of Spades, get inside, and lock the door. A victory jingle will play when it is safe to leave.
Resource and Environment Stalkers
These two do not care about your location. They care about your inventory and your light switches.
Cletus
Dealing with Cletus is pure inventory management. He wants meth, and if you do not have any when he shows up, you die. Reach out to A.C.R.S dealers, get a Dealer ID, and order through DAREdash. Keep exactly one baggie in your inventory. Hoarding is a terrible idea because he steals your entire stash. One bag satisfies him and keeps your wallet intact.
Noir
Noir feeds on darkness. Whether you turned the lights off yourself or the power grid died, the longer you sit in the dark, the higher the spawn chance.
- Male outside your left window: Shine your light at him, then look away for five seconds.
- Female outside your left window: Shine your light, look away for ten seconds.
- Standing right at your terminal: Look away immediately and wait until you hear a distinct whisper before turning back around.
The Heavy Hitters
Habits will not save you here. You need actual hardware to survive these two.
Tanner
Tanner is aggressive and will come straight through the main building or into your motel rooms. Hiding does not work. Set up motion sensors on the pillars near the street edge of the parking lot and monitor the FRONT_OUTER_LOT camera feed. When you spot him charging, hit the panic button next to your PC to disable the automatic doors. He will slam into the glass. Use the button sparingly, or you will crash your network. In motel rooms, always check the peephole before leaving to ensure he is not camping the hallway.
Lucas
A franchise veteran, Lucas wants to sneak through your back doors. Lock the Electrical Room and every other rear entrance immediately. If you have to unlock one to fix the power, lock it right back.
When he unlocks a door, he makes a very specific sound. That is your cue to bolt for the lockers or the laundry basket. Once hidden, you have to survive a tension-filled balancing minigame until he leaves. If you forget to lock a door, he skips the audio warning entirely and gets a free ambush. Toss two motion sensors in the back alley to give yourself an early warning system.

Building Your Nightly Routine
Survival in this game is a checklist. Every time you start a run, lock those back doors immediately. Dim a few lights so you can easily hide from Lucas without completely plunging yourself into darkness for Noir. Get your motion sensors up in the alley and the front lot before the 9:30 PM timer hits. Order your single baggie for Cletus.
Most players do not die because they fail a hiding minigame. They die because they forget to check for the white van, or they let their stash run dry. Drill these checks into your brain before you ever touch a door handle, and you will actually stand a chance.
