Far Far West Guide: How to Unlock Every Outfit
From Dirt-Stained to Mythic: Your Complete Checklist for Every Wardrobe Unlock

Quick Answer: You manage all cosmetics at the Rootin’ Tootin’ Shop terminal in the main lobby. While plenty of skins just require a chunk of gold, top-tier outfits demand serious dedication, like racking up 25,000 monster kills or tracking down hidden caves on late-game maps.
You spawn into the frontier looking like you just rolled out of a muddy ditch. Surviving the harsh environments is one thing, but looking like an absolute legend while doing it is the real endgame. If you want to cause chaos and turn heads in the local saloon, you have to upgrade your wardrobe.
The cosmetic system is massive, and the unlock requirements are completely chaotic. You can buy some threads for pocket change, but others force you through grueling questlines or insane kill grinds. Let’s break down exactly what it takes to flesh out your closet.
Setting Up at the Rootin’ Tootin’ Shop
Before you worry about getting new clothes, you need to know where to put them on. Everything cosmetic is handled back at your main lobby. Walk over to the Rootin’ Tootin’ Shop terminal. This is your fashion headquarters. You will use this screen to spend your hard-earned gold on standard skins, claim the rare ones you earn out in the wild, and swap your look before jumping into matchmaking.

Conquering the Hardest Unlocks
Most of the lower-tier clothes will drop into your lap naturally as you hoard cash and clear standard bounties. The high-tier stuff requires a very focused approach.
If your character feels too weak to survive these grinds, you need to step back and optimize your build. Check out our Far Far West Guide: How to Level Up Fast and Stop Grinding to skyrocket your stats before tackling the tough stuff.
The Brutal 25,000 Cryptic Grind
The Definitely Not Cryptic outfit is a Legendary skin, and it absolutely makes you earn that title. You are required to slaughter 25,000 Cryptics. There are no shortcuts, glitches, or fast tracks for this. You just have to plant your feet in horde zones and wipe them out continuously.
- Equip your strongest area-of-effect spells.
- Bring weapons with high pierce or explosive rounds.
- Commit to long sessions purely focused on crowd control.
Hunting Down Elusive NPCs
A huge chunk of your wardrobe is tied directly to the colorful characters scattered around the maps. If you want the Otto skin, you have to deal with his incredibly frustrating license exams. You really want to use a cheat sheet for the written test to avoid failing and wasting time.
The Wandering Trader skin is a test of patience. Completing 30 trades sounds easy until you realize she constantly moves. Learn her audio cues to track her down quickly whenever she spawns into your instance.
Snagging the Mythic Cariboo
The Cariboo cosmetic completely ignores gold and standard quests. You have to hunt down a secret objective. Load into the Far Far North map and make your way to the extreme northern edge. Look for a secluded cave entrance. Heading inside will trigger the hidden mission you need to beat to claim the outfit.
What Happened to the Pumpkin Jack Skin?
If you are wondering why your progress bar for Pumpkin Jack is dead, do not panic. This cosmetic is currently unobtainable. It was an exclusive reward tied directly to promotional codes from the Halloween playtest era. Those codes are completely deactivated now, so we just have to wait and see if the developers recycle the skin for a future holiday event.
