Palworld 1.0 Guide: Mastering Corrosive Solvent Production

Break past the level 37 tech bottleneck by mastering Venom Gland and Sulfur supply chains

Quick Answer: Unlock Corrosive Solvent at level 37 and automate its production at a powered Production Assembly Line. Every batch requires 1x Venom Gland, 1x Sulfur, and 2x Thermal Cores. For passive farming, assign a Caprity Noct to your Ranch for glands and unlock the Sulfur Quarry at level 46 for infinite ore.

Hitting level 37 in Palworld is a massive wake-up call. Suddenly, your trusty primitive tools and basic ingots just aren’t cutting it anymore. The 1.0 update locked almost every piece of top-tier gear behind a harsh chemical bottleneck, meaning you have to start mass-producing Corrosive Solvent. Without a steady supply of this highly reactive sludge, your tech tree progression is completely dead in the water.

Upgrading Your Production Line

You can unlock the recipe for a couple of Technology Points once you hit the level 37 milestone. The game gives you a few options for where to actually mix the chemicals, but don’t even think about doing this by hand at an Ancient Workbench.

You need to industrialize. Build a Production Assembly Line, hook up a Power Generator, and assign a dedicated Electric Pal to keep the grid online.

Each craft demands a specific cocktail of ingredients:

  • Venom Gland (1)
  • Sulfur (1)
  • Thermal Cores (2)

Since these materials aren’t just lying around your starter base, you need a targeted farming strategy. Just like setting up your temperature regulation infrastructure, which you can perfect using our Palworld 1.0 Guide: Mass Producing Cryogenic Coolant, securing solvent ingredients requires building reliable supply chains.

Sourcing the Raw Materials

Stockpiling Venom Glands

You have two distinct paths for gathering Venom Glands: the quick and dirty active hunt, or the slower passive grind.

If you need glands immediately, wait for nightfall and head west of the Hill of Beginnings, just past the Ravine Entrance. This area is crawling with nocturnal Pals like Cawgnitos and Depressos. To absolutely maximize your yield, don’t just kill them. Capture them first to secure the initial drop, take them back to your base, and use a Meat Cleaver to butcher them for a second payout.

If you prefer a hands-off approach, you need to capture a Caprity Noct. These level 55 beasts roam around Feybreak. Subduing one is a brutal fight, but throwing it into a Ranch back home guarantees a permanent, passive stream of Venom Glands.

Securing Endless Sulfur

Sulfur is generally restricted to higher-level, dangerous biomes. The most abundant natural deposits sit in the volcanic region located far west of the Hill of Beginnings. You will roast alive instantly without proper heat-resistant gear, so come prepared.

If you want to skip the environmental hazards, farm the dungeons near the Ravine Entrance. They consistently spawn a healthy amount of Sulfur nodes and let you grab some extra dungeon loot along the way.

Eventually, you can bypass manual mining entirely. At level 46, spend your Ancient Technology Points on the Sulfur Quarry. Placing one of these directly in your base solves your Corrosive Solvent problems and fuels your endgame Gunpowder production simultaneously.

Why You Need So Much Solvent

Corrosive Solvent breaks down tough materials for precision crafting. It is a non-negotiable requirement for basically everything cool in the late game.

Here is exactly what this chemical unlocks:

Gear CategoryRequires Corrosive Solvent
High-End WeaponryMeteor Launcher, Tactical Grenade Launcher, Dark Grenade, Katana
Top-Tier ToolsPal Metal Pickaxe, Pal Metal Axe
Advanced ArmorLightweight Plasteel Armor, Lightweight Ancient Armor, Lightweight Hexolite Armor
Endgame MountsShadowbeak Saddle, Astegon Saddle
Base InfrastructureProduction Assembly Line II, Weapon Assembly Line II, Cryogenic Crusher, Alpha Wave Generator, Pal Surgery Table

Keep your specialized Ranches stocked and your assembly lines powered, and you will never run out of the chemicals you need to dominate the endgame.
