Deltarune Chapter 5 Guide: How to Find All Pink Coins

Your ultimate roadmap to tracking down all 19 Pink Coins, unlocking the fast travel door, and opening the way to Chapter 5's wildest secret boss.

Quick Answer: You need exactly 10 Pink Coins to buy the Mysterious Key and unlock the Pink Door’s secret boss, though 19 are hidden throughout the game. Defeat Aqua to secure the Petal Feather first, and finish the main story to unlock time-saving fast travel before you start hunting.

Grabbing every collectible in a sprawling map can easily turn into a marathon. There are 19 of these coins scattered across the Garden, Cliffs, and Castle, but you only need 10 to buy the Mysterious Key. Do yourself a massive favor and roll credits on the main campaign before you start digging around for secrets. Finishing the story powers up a magical door at the peak of Flower Castle. This grants you fast travel and trims hours of backtracking off your playtime.

Mandatory Prep Work

You cannot just walk up to these chests. You need the Petal Feather.

Taking down the Aqua boss rewards you with this crucial item, which unlocks all the 2D platforming mechanics required to reach the bells. Defeating Aqua also triggers the Mysterious Structure system. You will be slapping these structures constantly to rearrange the environment and create viable jumping paths.

Garden Coin Locations

Four coins are stashed in the Garden area. If you use the magic door, scooping these up takes barely any time at all.

  • Main Area: Warp in using the magic door and strike the Mysterious Structure. The ground will shift, allowing you to dash left over the pit and ring the hanging bell.
  • Shrine Entrance: Return to the exact spot where you looted the Petal Feather. Smack the structure, scale the leaf platforms on your left, and run across the temple’s roof. Clear one last set of leaves to find the bell.
  • Beginner Zone: Head back to the area where Flowery gave you a hand with the Floradinn. Grab the nearby water canister to form a fresh path to the left of the giant scissors, then climb straight up to reach the chest.
  • HopsChef Right Flank: Move right from the HopsChef and survive the jumping sequence. Dash right through the Torii Gate to claim your prize. Pro tip: whenever a gap looks mathematically impossible to clear, scout the immediate area for a Torii Gate.

Cliff Coin Locations

Two massive vertical climbs in the Cliffs conceal four more coins. Fast travel is absolutely mandatory here unless you enjoy punishing yourself with manual climbing.

  • First Climb Route: Warp to the First Climb and ascend the vines on the right. When the route sharply hooks left, hit the nearby structure. Leap left, intentionally drop down, and command Ralsei to climb back up. This gives you the positioning for a mid-air jump onto the bell’s ledge.
  • Waterfall Stash: Immediately after grabbing the previous coin, scale the next set of vines. Head right, carefully dodge the falling debris, and look behind the waterfall to spot your target.
  • Windmill Cave: Walk right from the Cliffs shop until you spot two windmills. Strike the first one to start the massive flowers rotating. Drop to the vines below, attach Ralsei to the underside of a moving flower, and ride it safely through the gauntlet of blades. Clear out the cave enemies, ring the bell, and hit the second windmill to catch a ride back.
  • Netskie Cavern: Take the Netskie Climb warp, scramble up the vines, and take the right path at the intersection. You will find a structure inside a cave. You have to land a very precise dash without falling into the abyss to claim this one.

Castle Coin Locations

Flower Castle is absolutely loaded. The remaining 11 coins are divided between the East, West, and Top wings of the fortress.

Eastern Wing Puzzles

The East wing holds eight coins and relies heavily on quirky puzzle mechanics. Keep your eyes peeled when you enter the Fox Room. You have to track down five hidden foxes to unlock a specific door. Four are actively roaming the room, while the fifth is cleverly camouflaged behind a paper wall.

Coin NumberLandmarkStrategy to Unlock
East 1Green & Orange ArenaQuickly slot two mushrooms before the chasing fox snatches the second one.
East 2Fox RoomGather all 5 hidden foxes, then interact with the fox behind the newly unlocked door.
East 3Lower Mysterious PuzzlePush the boxes into place, strike the structure, and make a rightward jump to the bell.
East 4Upper Mysterious PuzzleNavigate above the Second Diner, activate the console, and scale the platforms.
East 5The BarDeposit two mushrooms to drop the bar barricade and access the chest.
East 6Lower Terakota StatuesExit the castle entirely. Re-enter through the right-side gate and shove the statues onto the pressure plates.
East 7Upper Terakota StatuesRight after snagging East 6, walk up the path and look left. You will see a chest shadow projected onto a paper wall.
East 8Pink LanternWalk through the yellow arch, climb higher, and deflect an incoming fist through the paper wall directly into the lantern.

Western Wing Platforming

There are only two coins in the West wing, but the platforming requirements are brutal. Before you start ripping your hair out over these jumps, make sure you have actually cleared the area’s boss encounter.

  1. Bouncing Flowers: Warp to Blue’s Room and walk right. You need to yank your left thumbstick straight down to maximize your bounce altitude. The ground tier requires you to hit the bottom, middle-left, and top flowers. The second tier demands all three. The final tier is an exhausting chain: bottom three, middle, top, and the furthest right flower.
  2. Shuriken Gauntlet: Exit Blue’s Room, walk back through the Blue Door, and descend the left staircase. Hit the structure and carefully work your way through a maze of giant Shurikens. Keep your jumps as small as possible. Taking a hit deals damage and resets your position, but if you simply fall down without touching a blade, you can recover easily.

Castle Peak

The final two coins are resting at the absolute zenith of the castle.

  • Flower Swing: Climb up the massive platforming room located past Green’s shop. Take the left route at the fork and swing across the hanging flowers to secure the bell.
  • The Leap of Faith: Hit the flower right next to the previous coin to generate a new platform. Strike the windmill to create an updraft, then jump off the edge. You have to slash through flowers while in mid-air and weave through massive rings of fire as you fall.

If you survive the plummet, you will land directly in front of the Pink Door with your final coin waiting for you. Hand over 10 coins to secure the Mysterious Key, unlock the gate, and prepare yourself for an absolutely unhinged secret boss encounter.
