Diablo 4 Season 14 Guide: How to Destroy the Ullo Sar Cult
Track down the death cult, farm Realmwalkers, and survive the Torment 1 difficulty wall with our complete Season 14 walkthrough.

Quick Answer: Jump into the Seasonal Realm, grab Tyrael’s letter in Kyovashad to kick things off, and focus on clearing Colossal Ruptures near Zarbinzet to rapidly farm Realmwalkers and push through the Glints of Hope reputation grind.
Season 14 brings a massive new headache to Sanctuary in the form of the Ullo Sar. This creepy death cult is busy conducting rituals all over the map, and it is entirely up to you and an NPC named Dannica to shut them down.
Instead of wandering aimlessly waiting for the next quest trigger to pop, you can follow a straightforward path. The seasonal questline demands everything from simple item collection to chaotic Realmwalker boss fights, eventually putting your build to the test at the Torment 1 difficulty wall.
Prepping for the Seasonal Realm
Before you go hunting for cultists, you have to actually be in the right version of the game.
The Ullo Sar storyline is exclusive to Season 14. Your maxed-out Eternal Realm characters get to sit this one out. You need to roll a brand new character and choose the Seasonal Realm on the creation screen.
If you are a veteran player, you have a massive advantage here. You can bypass the entire narrative campaign right away.
- Players who previously completed the base game campaign get the skip option.
- Owning both the Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred expansions allows you to skip those prologues too.
- New to Diablo 4? You will need to crush the main story at least once before earning the skip button. Stick to Normal difficulty so you can blaze through the lore and hit the seasonal content faster.
The Complete Ullo Sar Questline
Tracking down this death cult involves a specific sequence of quests. Here is exactly what you need to do to progress through the Season of Death Awakening.
Gospel of Despair
Your journey kicks off the second you load your fresh seasonal character.
- Head straight to the Kyovashad waypoint.
- Search the immediate area for a Letter from Tyrael and pick it up.
- Fast travel over to Zarbinzet.
- Walk slightly west of the waypoint to locate Dannica.
- Speak with her to receive the Message of Ullo Sar. Exhaust her dialogue options until the quest marks itself as complete.

Sins of Ullo Sar
Dannica wants proof of the cult’s activities, so she is sending you straight into the Helltides.
Your target here is the Death’s Head Idol. Do not panic about finding a specific hidden location. These idols naturally spawn as standard Helltide events. Just run around killing demons and participating in local events as you normally would, and an idol will eventually appear.
You will also get your first glimpse of a Realmwalker during this step. Grab the necessary quest items from the event and head back to Zarbinzet to debrief Dannica.
Across the Threshold
This is where the training wheels come off. Dannica needs you to slay a Realmwalker. You have two distinct options for hunting one down.
- The Slow Way: Hunt for Surging Ruptures inside an active Helltide. Realmwalkers are not guaranteed to spawn constantly here, meaning you could waste a ton of time waiting around.
- The Fast Way: Open your map and look for a Colossal Rupture happening near Zarbinzet. This triggers a dedicated Realmwalker world event, complete with a countdown timer.
Drop the giant beast and a portal will open precisely where its corpse landed. Do not blindly follow your mini-map if it points elsewhere. Step into the portal at the kill site to enter the Deathtoll Chamber.
Once inside, speed is everything. Annihilating enemies as fast as possible expands the Ritual Circle, which showers you with bonus loot once the run is over. Clear out the dungeon and report back to Dannica.
Rising Tide, Setting Sun
This step introduces a harsh reality check. You cannot proceed until you unlock and activate Torment 1 difficulty.
Meeting the requirements means grinding your character to level 60 and successfully beating Tier 10 of the Artificer’s Pit. The level grind is tedious, but Tier 10 of the Pit is the actual wall that will test your build’s survivability and damage output. Once you survive the Pit and switch your world tier to Torment 1, talk to Dannica to wrap this phase up.
The Looming Night
This acts as the current finale for the quest chain. Blizzard is intentionally keeping the deepest secrets of this stage locked behind ongoing seasonal progression, so expect more updates to roll out as the season matures.
Grinding Glints of Hope Reputation
Every cultist you crush and quest you complete rewards you with Glints of Hope. This acts as your primary Season 14 progression currency.
Do not expect the main questline to carry you to the finish line. The reputation track consists of 24 total ranks. The early ranks fly by, but the endgame grind requires a staggering amount of points. You will need to heavily farm Helltides, Pandemonium Ruptures, and Deathtoll Chambers to hit the cap.
Here is the exact breakdown of how many Glints you need per rank.
